My 1930's ballgown

Here are the long-awaited photographs of my 1930's Ginger Rogers style ballgown that I wore to the English Country Dance last year. Enjoy!

Underneath my dress is a two piece bias-cut pale pink satin slip for modesty, as the dress itself is low-cut and transparent.

I have a pink taffeta ribbon to match.

This is what it looks like with the dress on top. It's made out of pale pink french cotton lace (antique), and some soft tulle from an old ballet skirt that Mother had when she was eight.
The dress is hand-sewn completely and closes with hooks and eyes at the back.

What do you think of it all? I love this dress so much, although I don't get the chance to wear it very much.
We might be going to another English Country Dance next month, so maybe I'll get a new dress to wear there. Any suggestions? Most people there wear historical costume, so which era should my new dress be from? Please comment below with any ideas you might have!

Love,
